You Say You Want A Revolution?

Big things happening in Iran, very exciting.
So it started with a disputed presidential election. But now has blown up to something much larger. People all over Iran are questioning their whole system of government. It looks like we may have a social revolution coming, thanks in large part to these here interwebs. Between twitter and youtube and a shitload of other new ways of communicating, the people of Iran are expressing a right to assemble and protest, something their government doesn't believe is a right. This was from a CNN ireport, from an Iranian:

Iran Tonight (Friday night) after supreme leader comments, everybody shouting ALAHO AKBAR(god is great) from their roofs, which means goto hell supreme leader, we are THE ONE, We are IRANIANS

Girl's comments:

Friday 18 June 2009, tomorrow is Saturday, tomorrow is a VERY important day

Tonight ALAHO AKBAR (the god is great) in louder than any night

Where is this place? Where is this place that every path is closed on it?

Where is this place? That people only have God to ask for help?

Where is this place? That ALAHO AKBAR is getting louder and louder every night?

My body is shivering, is god shivering too?

Where is this place? That all innocent people stocked in?

Where is this place? Where nobody helping us?

Where is this place? Where we only screaming to the world with our silence?

Where is this place? That young people are being killed and people stand in the streets and pray on their bloods?

Where is this place? That all of the people are being named as thugs?

Where is this place? THIS IS IRAN, this is my country and this is your country also.

I will be following this very closely. It's very inspiring. These are real people fighting for real freedom. Fight On
