Okay people, lets get serious.
I've said it before, now I've heard a few people come out now saying there is a possibility(people being interviewed on news shows or whatever), BUT I THOUGHT OF IT FIRST.
So, Mars, they have found ice on Mars, which means there is water on Mars. Satellite pictures show what could have once been flowing rivers. Water is essential to the evolution of species as we know it, in our tiny brains. Water once flowing on Mars means there could have been primitive species there. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, possibly millions. Just like our dinosaurs before one of our "Ice Ages".
You know where your precious "oil" and gas come from? FOSSIL fuels. FOSSIL FUELS. Oil is just dead dinosaurs and plant species that were buried into earth's crust. After millions of years it all turns into this sticky, greasy shit called oil. That's why oil is not a renewable source of energy. Only so many dinosaur guts we can dig up.
ANYWAYS, think about that. Mars once having life forms on it... If we spent half of what we spend on our wars in the middle east FOR OIL, don't try to deny it, what if we invested that money in, oh I don't know, NASA. Get your ass in gear NASA, get people up on Mars, dig around a little bit and BAM! SPACE OIL!!!
Space Oil! Once the slightest bit is found and shown to work as a source of energy, you will have your corporate slimebags invest their money into getting there, and making drilling stations. Getting a piece in the whole space oil venture. Just like the old wild west and gold.
See, I'm all for saving this planet, and not relying on bullshit like offshore drilling. Drilling in the gulf of mexico and off florida's coast, hurricane central. But, fucking up another planet. Why not? It's not like we need it. Nobody is moving to Mars. We might when we find a reliable renewable energy, and we run out of air, but we probably won't be able to do some shit like that for a few centuries. Unless aliens come down from space and teach us space travel, but they might eat our brains, so who knows...
If we happen to find some aliens, we'll just have to blow them all up!
